The celebration was hosted by the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, Mori Takero, and his spouse at Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa. The event was attended by leaders from central Vietnamese provinces, representatives from foreign diplomatic missions, universities, non-governmental organizations, and Japanese companies in Da Nang. The delegation from Quang Trị Province, led by the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, attended the event and presented flowers to congratulate the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang.

In his opening remarks, Consul General Mori Takero expressed his pleasure at the deepening relationship between Japan, Da Nang, and the central provinces of Vietnam. He noted the increasing interest of Japanese enterprises in seeking investment opportunities in the region. He also expressed his hope to continue strengthening diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam’s central region in the future.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, extended her warmest congratulations to the staff of the Japanese Consulate General. She reaffirmed that Da Nang City and the central provinces of Vietnam would continue contributing to development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.

In recent years, Quang Tri Province has implemented 42 projects funded by Japanese ODA and concessional loans, with a total investment of $48.58 million (including $34.59 million in ODA and $13.99 million in counterpart funding). While these projects are small in scale and have short implementation periods, they cover diverse fields, making them highly practical and beneficial to Quang Tri. They have had a positive impact on improving rural infrastructure, enhancing education quality, and improving livelihoods, contributing to poverty reduction. In addition to ODA projects, Japan has supported Quang Tri through non-refundable aid and humanitarian activities. Many volunteers from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have come to Quang Tri to assist in healthcare, education, and charitable activities such as scholarships, medical equipment donations, and aid for the underprivileged. The total value of non-refundable aid from Japanese partners to Quang Trị has exceeded $4 million.

During discussions with Consul General Mori Takero, Permanent Deputy Secretary Nguyen Đang Quang expressed his hope that the Consul General and his associates in the Japanese Consulate General would continue to support Quang Tri in strengthening connections with Japanese organizations and enterprises in various fields, including cooperation, investment, government aid, non-governmental aid, local-level cooperation, people-to-people diplomacy, and cultural exchanges.
